The Secret Fat Loss Weapon that Helps Increase Your Metabolism, Boost Your Energy Levels, Curb Your Appetite and Makes Your Skin Look Glowing, Youthful and Fresh…

3 min read

Ok listen up, Femme Phorm readers. I’m going to let you in on a little fat loss secret…What if I told you that one of the greatest weight loss tools is cost-free and readily available in ample quantities? What if I told you that this secret fat loss weapon also helps increase your metabolism, boost your energy levels, curb your appetite and makes your skin look glowing, youthful and fresh? Want to know what it is? WATER!!! Many people know that they should drink more water yet entirely too many of us don’t get nearly enough water to meet our minimum daily requirements. With all of the benefits that water provides for a hot body and a beautiful face, don’t you want to make sure you are getting enough?

So how much water should you drink? I generally follow the rule that athletic men and women should aim to drink a minimum of 1 gallon of water daily. However, it is not uncommon for physique competitors to drink 1 oz of water per pound of body mass. This is the rule I follow personally. That means if you weigh 150 lbs, you should aim to drink 150 oz of water. If each cup of water equals 8 oz, that works out to 18 cups of water. Ok, now I know that seems like a lot, but that’s only a little more than 1 gallon of water. It’s really not that much when you break it down over the course of the day. Consider that every time you work out or exert yourself in the heat, your body sweats and loses water. If you hope to maximize your fat burning potential or increase your gains in the gym, you must replace that water for ultimate athletic performance.

Now if you are one of those people who struggles to get even a quarter of that amount, here are some tips for getting in your daily requirements.

  • Begin each day with a tall 12 oz glass of room temperature filtered water with the juice of one lemon immediately upon rising. I recommend this to all of my clients as a great cleanse and natural appetite suppressant.
  • Have 2 glasses of water with breakfast, lunch and dinner. This will not only aid in digestion, but you are more likely to consume smaller food portions at each meal.
  • Carry a large sized water bottle in your car, gym bag or purse. Increase the size of your water bottle from the small 500ml size to 1 L and you will ultimately drink more water.
  • Add crystal light or green tea to your water for flavor. Unfortunately, carbonated beverages and coffee or black tea fail to adequately hydrate your body as efficiently as water and therefore do not count towards your daily total.

If you are on the go all the time like I am, I want to share with you my new favorite fitness gadget! It’s called the “Aqua Joe” and it’s a scoop dispenser for measuring your supplement powders or drink mixes. Each dispenser holds a scoop of powdered mix and is compatible with any sports bottle. I’m all about being “green”, so I’m happy that this product is environmentally friendly! This little gadget makes it really convenient to add my post workout supplements to my water bottle without having to lug around big jugs of powder in my gym bag. I have a couple of them that I use for my Ignition, glutamine, or any other powdered concoction I may mix into my water bottles. It’s a very convenient way to blend your supplements into your water and furthermore, an easy way to get your daily requirements of water. And for all you fit mommas out there, “Aqua Joe” works great with infant formulas and baby bottles!
